Prenatal Care/Obstetrical Care
The Way Free Clinic provides free prenatal and obstetrical care to low-income, uninsured pregnant women who reside in Clay County. The Clinic partners with Ascension St. Vincent’s Healthcare, which supplies Family Medicine Resident Physicians to provide on-site prenatal and obstetrical care during the patient’s pregnancy, and perform live delivery at Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville where the Residents have hospital privileges. The program includes:
- Initial clinical assessment
- Ongoing medical treatment/monitoring
- Periodic laboratory diagnostics
- Periodic ultrasound diagnostics
- Prenatal vitamins and medications supplied
- Lifestyle education
- Processing into St. Vincent’s HOPE charity care program
- Processing into emergency medical insurance coverage for hospitalization
- Live birth delivery
- Post-birth follow-up care
- Referral to Clay County Health Department
- Healthy Start Program
- Language interpretation is available in all languages
