Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, The Way Free Medical Clinic will break ground in early 2021 on the renovation of a property at 302 College Drive in Orange Park. The 5,100 sq. ft. building situated on one acre across from St. Johns River State College will be the first clinic facility owned by the organization in its 15-year history. “This new facility will become The Way Clinic’s flagship facility and will allow us to quickly double our outreach to more low-income uninsured Clay County residents in need,” said Don Fann, the organization’s Executive Director.

Dr. Harry Madhanagopal, The Way Clinic’s Medical Director, says the new facility will be designed specifically as a free medical clinic equipped to maintain public safety throughout the current COVID-19 outbreak and any future infectious outbreaks.“Using lessons from the Pandemic and other clinics, we are incorporating designs to improve patient flow and increase treatment capabilities while decreasing infection risk.We will build a center that improves the experience of our patients, staff, and volunteers.”
